OK geek power, to the rescue! Fran Kranz from Dollhouse has this idea that he should be Link when they do a Zelda movie and so we need to find him a Zelda. I thought she was blond but apparently in some versions she's a brunette? Anyway. I've been thinking about actresses and I can't think of anyone. THAT'S NOT RIGHT. So who do you think would rock as Princess Zelda?

Can someone help Peewai and I and tell us what that song is?

That's Peewai "singing", but that's enough to recognize the song. I swear.

And I love that the English version features Sean for their article "How to apply make-up as a man". See? It's manly to use moisturizer!

You know you're obsessed with LGBT issues when... you see someone reading a book called "Transparent" and immediately assume it's a book about transgender people who are parents. And then three minutes later remember "transparent" is actually a perfect valid word on its own. *facepalm*

I have paint, a brush, tape so I don't paint over glass, and glue for the tiles. DIY, here I come!

My bike's at the repairshop for the afternoon, the weather's beautiful, and I might even manage to be productive school-wise. Woot!

In other news, I've always loved B&J's and not just because their ice-cream is LOVE, but I am slightly confused by the goal of their latest campaign, Votez Woody. They probably just want to draw attention to the Presidential campaign and themselves, but I'm curious to see if anything will happen on May 6 when the cow's not elected.

Anyway, whatever the goal, I like that they're into political stuff. (Also, it reminds of Michael Moore and his ficus. Heee.)

Speaking of delicious ice-cream, next Tuesday is FREE CONE DAY! You can get free ice-cream in Paris, Lille, Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseille, Toulouse. I only wish we had Stephen Colbert's Americone Dream available here.

And finally, unrelated, but tomorrow night France 2 is showing a TV movie about a gay kid coming out to his parents (Le ciel sur la tête). I have no clue if it's any good, obviously, but I'll tune in to give it a chance. Apparently it's from the parents' perspective rather than the kid's, for a change.

And here it is, your moment of zen :

(This video's from the movie Music & Lyrics.)

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] killmelover for reminding me of this - and I had to share it as well - it's just the best way to have a good laugh. *g*

[livejournal.com profile] pee_wai!!! You're on vacation!!! Wheee!!! ^^ Oh and I've been meaning to ask, does Ctr+Alt+Del have a livefeed on LJ?

I am easily amused. Hehe. More hehe.

I've been reading a little Firefly fic. I know, my life's so intense. Anyway, first I have Simon/River drabbles. It's interesting, because I really can't decide whether I like Simon/River or not - I think I like it best when it's suggested, present but never acted upon or something. Like this other Simon/River drabble, I loved, but I think I wish it'd ended on wishful thinking. I'm a bit confused by this pairing - and a bit confused that I'm not disgusted like some people, too. Joss, you evil, evil person. Why can't you make things black and white once in a while?

More straightforward, four drabbles about Kaylee and other crew members. I love all four of them, there's at least one quote than I love in each. Plus I always like when the characters are developped on several levels - like Kaylee isn't just about Kaylee/Simon - which is sort of an obvious thing to say, but still, not all writers manage it well. Go read already! :)

And finally, a word from God crushing our hopes but boy does he do it well. "You thought I was gonna say 'costumes', didn't you?  Porn guy." Also, I WANT to attend a Creative Writing class he would teach. "People love a happy ending. So every episode, I will explain once again that I don't like people. And then Mal will shoot someone. Someone we like. And their puppy." That man's simply awesome. *very amused*

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] curlgirl21 for that! As Massachusetts approaches May 17th and the start of gay marriage throughout the State, it's nice to have a laugh about this and at the same time, it's very thought-provoking. I have also just finished Raunch's book on gay marriage which was really interesting, challenging and thought-provoking for several pages.

Anyways on to the fun :

Dear President Bush:

Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's Law. I have
learned a great deal from you, and try to share that knowledge with as many
people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for
example, I simply remind them that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be
an abomination... End of debate.

I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some other elements of
God's Laws and how to follow them...

1. Leviticus 25:44 states that I may possess slaves, both male and female,
provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine
claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify?
Why can't I own Canadians?

2. I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus
21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?

3. I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her
period of menstrual uncleanliness Lev.15: 19-24. The problem is, how do I
tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.

4. When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a
pleasing odor for the Lord - Lev.1:9. The problem is, my neighbors. They
claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?

5. I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2
clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him
myself, or should I ask the police to do it?

6. A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an
abomination - Lev. 11:10, it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I
don't agree. Can you settle this? Are there 'degrees' of abomination?

7. Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a
defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my
vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle-room here?

8. Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around
their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev. 19:27. How
should they die?

9. I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me
unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?

10. My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev. 19:19 by planting two different
crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two
different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse
and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of
getting the whole town together to stone them? - Lev. 24:10-16. Couldn't we
just burn them to death at a private family affair, as we do with people who
sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)

I know you have studied these things extensively and thus enjoy considerable
expertise in such matters, so I am confident you can help. Thank you again
for reminding us that God's word is eternal and unchanging.

Also, go and rent The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love. It's an excellent little independent movie, very refreshing, cute. Laurel Holloman does an absolutely wonderful job, as does Nicole Parker. Plus, the outake on their story is just - refreshing, as I said.

And I swear, I'm interested in other things. I'm just building my references and all right now :) I've rented The Lion King 1 1/2 for this weekend, whiiiz, exciting! Off to mount my fifth final print (YAYYYY), I've vainquished the Martin pic!!!!

Arden!!! Baby Whedon's name is Arden!!!! I can't believe I've finally found it!!!

I know, this post ranks as pathetic, but oh well.

And Joss is really my god:

“Writing is in my blood or my lymph or something. All I know is that I can’t stop.” Yes, Joss, or something ;)

"My next big project will probably involve changing my son for a better one, because he didn’t come out good."

I want to have his babies. Or at least I want him to baby-sit them with Mike *g*

1) Seriously, guys. I said that "woopa-thecute" was one of my interest and now they've actually listed it as a possible "interest". Computers are silly. If anyone, ever, actually enters that as an interest, frankly I'll be creeped out.

2) Quote of yesterday that I didn't post yesterday because I was wayyy too busy running around, and drooling over Miss Sevigny. More about that soon. So anyway, quote of the yesterday :

"Es como Dawson's Creek, pero con un oso."

Which translates roughly as, "It's like Dawson's Creek, but with a bear". I love my Spanish fellow students. You shoulda seen my teacher as a bear, too, or as a hunter with a vacuum cleaner as a rifle, too. Ahh, PA.
