First batch of pictures from Serenity3

So, I've narrowed it down to 131 pictures from this weekend. Which is still way too much to actually post on LJ. I've divided the pictures in five categories, and the two first have like 12 pictures in it, so I'll be posting that. And the rest, I'll post a few pictures as "previews" and then give a link to my Scrapbook.
But most importantly!!!
Fan''s report is up! In several parts because it's so huge! You have Opening ceremony + Meet and Greet, Saturday (with all the talks) and Sunday (talks + signing). Kudos to her for putting this up so quickly, seriously. *smooches*
And it made me laugh this morning because in this other report, a girl reported Sean waving at someone during the contest on Saturday, thought he was waving at her. Made me realize probably fifteen people out there are absolutely certain that wave was directed at them. Heh.
Anyway! On to some pictures, mostly shots of the convention itself and a few "body shots", those shots were I cut out the head to keep just the body. I find body positions and lines fascinating like that. And believe me, you want to click. There's a special shot at the end at that batch.

Inevitable ass shot

Date: 2006-09-26 09:32 pm (UTC)Hm, that sounds really interesting! I wish my days were longer than 24h so I could poke around and discover more stuff.
Yep, no, not a professional at all. And actually, I usually work with black & white - I'm a lot more at ease with it than I am with color, because I've only just started (got a good digital camera this summer - almost never work in color with film). Point is... quality of the image is mostly the camera, coloring is mostly the camera too. The framing's more me - it's actually something very important to me in my photography, the way you frame an event or someone, because it can really change the focus and feel of the picture. This batch of picture from Serenity Cubed is a bit special because I put more of myself as a photographer into it - the other batches I've mostly tried to capture the actors, expressions and attitudes, nothing exceptional. That's why I really like the body shots - they're shots I really had clearly in mind when I took them. :)
If you're interested at all, you can see more of my photographs either on my LJ (http://greenie-breizh.livejournal.com/tag/photographs) (it's the tag "photographs", you need to scroll down to get past Serenity Cubed :) or on a portfolio I have online (http://helenefd.portfolio.free.fr) (it's mostly in French, but you can find your way to the pictures easily).

Date: 2006-09-26 09:44 pm (UTC)Would you mind if I friended you? Purely for the Sean-fascination, and the hands, and your marvellous photography.
Damn, I need a good icon of Sean's hands.

And please, friend away! I'm probably going to friend back, unless you mind. :)
(I've tried a little to icon the hands, but it's complicated! So hard in general to capture really how he expresses himself with his body.)
