Ikea-trip today, so probably some work getting planks together this afternoon.

Yes, it's pathetic. I inherited my dad's adoration for that store. There's just something really cool about it. I've managed to put together my computer desk and there's something very rewarding about it, even though it's pretty much as simple as it can get in Ikea's case. But best part : I now have two plants!!!!!! One's a Ficus and the other is a bunch of Bamboos. They're Ficus and Bamboo unless I come up with a much better name.

It's really pathetic, but I feel really good about having plants to take care of.

Now, before I give in to my urge to read SOS homophobie's 2004 report, I am off to STUDY.

PS : if anyone has tips on how to take good care of ficuses and bamboos, please share!

Just quickly before I go back to Litterature...

I read this awesome ironic quote the other day on someone's LJ about how it was a good thing that gay marriage was being banned in 11 states, because harmless things need to be banned, and how we should ban puppies, and the author went on to list a bunch of harmless things, ending with Ben Affleck.

HAVE I DREAMED IT? I cannot find it again for the life of me. If anyone reading this actually wrote that, or read it somewhere, can they please please please point out to me where they did? I thought it was hilarious and now I cannot share it because I've lost it...

I can't get over how funny I think that is. It might be because I can *so* hear CNN's news guy going all "Next up on the banning agenda". *g*



On a unrelated note (or not, I guess), I have made a new icon. I am now going to try very hard to stick to my 3 icons, or at least to having a Happy (to not say gay - hehe - i know, not funny) icon, a Neutral Icon and a Sad Icon.
