That's just... amazing.

Some Josh Lyman love to start off: "I always knew the day would come when Sam would start selling off entire states. I was just hoping he'd start with Delaware."

Two small things that I wanted to link to :

- everybody's seen that one by now, but still. John Barrowman with Hunking Harkness, I love how the horse just wants to eat the jacket and how John's clearly not a horse person. *loves them both*
- a truly adorable anecdote - that kid is so right. ("People are born so that they can learn how to live a good life -- like loving everybody all the time and being nice, right?" The four-year-old continued, "Well, dogs already know how to do that, so they don't have to stay as long.")

Conclusion of the night: I miss my horse and my dog. But vacation's coming up, and I get to go home and see them both fairly soon.

So much cuteness and funny I don't know how to deal.

We never realized how much Caramel had spared us.

God I can't wait to have my own dog or cat or both.

On that note, grammar awaits. A lot less cute (and less fun), weirdly enough.

Some of you might remember the story of that dog, Capi, I told a little while ago.

Capi was a young dog full of affection who spent the first three years of his life in a loveless home where he wasn't taken care of.

Last May two family friends (Jacques and Annick) rescued him from possible death and took him into their home.

A few weeks ago, a car ran into him while Jacques was walking him. The collision broke Capi's spine ; he was going to be paralyzed for life, if he could live at all.

So Jacques called Annick and together they decided the best thing to do was to put Capi to sleep.

Clean broken spine, Capi didn't have a splotch of blood on him. They stayed with him until the end.

I saw the tears in my mom's eyes and I know it's only a fraction of what Annick and Jacques must have felt, and it tears me inside.

Capi had finally found a good home, he was full of love and energy, he loved them. Loved them. And they loved him back, so much.

That story deserved a happier ending.

I'm miles away from where you are
I lay down on the cold gound
I pray that something picks me up
And sets me down in your warm arms

EDIT : For three years he was left to survive by himself, never got really hurt. Six months in a loving family and he dies. "We couldn't protect him," Annick told my mom. What do you say to that?

Let's be very shallow for a second. I don't know what I think of those Sean pictures. I really like them but at the same time the thumb thing is a little too much (I'm talking the first two ones, I don't like the third one). But he's still such a cutie! :) And Alan looks great there!!

I got a new mouse today, to keep Lucy company. He's called Scud again, because yes, I'm that far into denial. He's a funny little guy, a bit shy, he lets himself be handled much more easily than Lucy, who's still the bouncy ball she's always been. :) Also Lucy's a great big bully with Scud, and Scud keeps squealing whenever she pokes his nose into him and stuff. It's really cute. Right now he's trying to figure out the wheel. :) :)
