I got my Serenity Collector Edition DVD the other day, and immediately proceeded to watch the movie with the commentary by Joss, Nathan, Adam, Summer and Ron. As expected, so much of it was simply hilarious. Joss in particular just seemed so much at ease with the group, it's awesome. Anyway. For future reference and for good laughs, I wanted to post my favorite quotes from the commentary. You might want to avoid reading if you haven't seen it yet! Though I'm certain it'll still be an excellent watch even if you're spoiled for a few quotes. *g*

Adam: Is Sean ever happy?
Joss: Sean? He's constantly happy! He just doesn't like to share that with you. He doesn't want you to know - he knows you'll use it against him.
Nathan: He's so guarded when it comes to you, Adam.

Nathan: Summer, when you look back... any feelings, any emotions?
Joss: Have you finally learned human emotions?

Summer: That was for my birthday.
Joss: This scene?
Nathan: So you turned 15?

Joss: ...I...have heard exercise... and frankly it sounds a little dangerous.

Nathan: I get prettier the more of my face you hide.

Joss: The first draft was way too flowery. And when Sean got the new one, he was like, thank you. He was a man about it, he never said anything, but when he got the new version he was like, thank god.

Nathan: During that whole scene, I'm telling myself, I'm in a quick draw fight, and I'm in a movie...I'm in a quick draw fight, and I'm in a movie...I'm in a quick draw fight, and I'm in a movie...wheee!

I LOVED the commentary. I think right before that line of Nathan's he says something like "Many a childhood fantasy were fulfilled on this day."

Love them all! (I wish the whole cast could've been in on it.)

It's so much fun and so much of it really flows, you know? You can really feel that they're all comfortable with each other.

And I definitely wish more of them had been there - Alan, Morena and Jewel in particular (as much as I love Sean, he doesn't strike me as the right kind of guy for commentaries, kinda like Ron really). And on another track, because a big group commenting necessarily means some of them don't say much. :)

Aaaaah damnit ! J'avais pas besoin d'être rappelé de l'existence de ce dvd ! crois le où non, mais je n'ai pas besoin de deux versions de Serenity en dvd. Non non non.
