What sickens me most with people from the Phelps Church is that they will never lose. You can never achieve a perfect nation, so they will always have something to complain about. And since they will never actually rule (thank God), they will always be able to say we got it wrong and they would have gotten it right. How easy and righteous their position is.

And forever, they'll keep on spreading hatred.

But hey, we'll be spreading tolerance and respect right back at them.


And I am totally in love with Julie Banderas.



The... strength and emotion of her reaction, how much it mattered to her, and how she would not let herself be overwhelmed. She had a reply for everything, she knew her Bible by heart and she would not yield or capitulate in any way. And she comes out so much stronger than Phelps by suggesting respect is stronger than hatred.
I just love how intense she was about it. Me thinks we need many, many more people like that. (But WTF is she doing working for FoxNews?)

I have to say it's weird to see this on Fox News, maybe we can still save them! Like I said on fan_elune's journal, it's too bad they're always shouting and we don't hear the arguments they're using. A news segment is too short for this but that Phelps woman would be even more ridiculed in a real debate, where Julie's arguments would make her look stupid because let's face it, she is. How can she say she's preaching the word of God? If there is indeed a God out there he's probably walking away from earth after seeing this show (yeah, he gets Fox News!). And if there is indeed a God, too bad those people are using 'His words' for this crap. How can you come to someone's funeral to show hate towards the one who's being buried. It's horrible both for the family and for the poor boy that died in Iraq!

Those kinds of things make me sick.
