Here's the buyer's guide for all the Apple products. For the iPod it says "don't buy", but it's not always reliable, because it can be about the nano or the shuffle. When I bought my iBook it said "don't buy", and a month later a new version came out. But I was expecting it and I didn't really have a choice. Anyway, I don't think it'll make a big difference. Oh and if you buy it and less than 1 week after (I think it's one week, not sure) a newer version comes out you can ask for the new one, free of charge.
Oh and of course, APPLE POWAAAAAA! I knew you would come back on the light side of the force one day... ;)
As for the quotes, I think they're supposed to be very short, like 1 or 2 lines? On my iPod mini I have "I'm not insane, I'm just a dreamer". Might be bigger on the iPod though. I like the "remember to always be yourself" one. Or the "if nothing we do" one. Or the "I come from Iowa" one. That's my 3 choices. ;)
