greenie_breizh: (in bed)

Am extremely disappointed. Just took the "Who's your Pirates of the Carribean lover?" test, and not only does Barbarossa come up most of the time (or Will for the third one), but they don't even give me Keira !!!! Ahhhhhh. Even if I say I'm a man. I'm desperate, really. Only good thing is, Charlie gets Barbarossa too, so that test was probably created only to suit you, love. :-p

On the good news front : Simon and my camera have made it up in bed or something, and so now I can transfer pictures to Simon again. That is, if I can find batteries or, even *better*, my charger so I can recharge the 8 batteries I have on my desk!! Eeek. Still with the good news, my history paper is finished!!! YAY. And I found a cool analogy and all.

On the "hmmm we'll see how it turns out" front : woooo, whipped hair gel sitting right next to me, am about to try it out... wooo.... And Cris should get me some blue dye in Boston tomorrow since CVS had only red. *fingers crossed*

On the "not cool" front : the movie Wrong is Right is just BAD. I had to stop watching before the end, and I never ever do that with movies.

On the "sometimes life doesn't suck, but it means sometimes it does" front : eep!! didn't even get to pretend on BR by looking up the lj of the firstevil (HILARIOUS, btw). And am not hugging you, darling. That really sucks right now. But we'll be fine, right? No power in the verse. Nope, no power. I won't let it.
(We've got a groovy thing goin', baby, we've got a groovy thing)

If someone's looking for me, I'll be taking a vacation from my mind. I heard it'd help. :)

greenie_breizh: (political)
Abortion?:Yep, it's a woman's choice, but remember it's a big decision to make.
Death Penalty?:Hell no.
Prostitution?:I tend to say, no need to prohibit it, but if you do, make the fuckin' *clients* pay a fine too.
Alcohol?:Lower it down to 18 at least. It's a joke to see a whole country pretending its youth is drinking less and better because there's a ban.
Marijuana?:Decriminalize at least.
Other drugs?:Keep them away.
Gay marriage?:Yes. Have yet to hear a good argument against.
Illegal immigrants?:Not like we'll ever stop 'em unless we finally have a world where people are all relatively happy, eh?
Smoking?:Smoke if you want, just away from me and public places.
Drunk driving?:LOVE IT. Riiiiight. What can I say? Don't do it. Duh.
Cloning?:Raise interesting questions. Not very useful or desirable I think, so let's spend money elsewhere.
Racism?:Still around, even though we try hard not to see it.
Premarital sex?:Personal belief, so leave other people alone.
Religion?:Personal belief, so leave other people alone.
The war in Iraq?:Huge mistake and the worst way to show the world how we should handle international issues.
Bush?:Lock him up in his ranch, I feel bad for the US that the world sees him as their leader.
Downloading music?:Probably not a good thing, but let's face it, not gonna stop either.
The legal drinking age?:16, 17 or 18 sounds somewhat right, but kids should be exposed to alcohol earlier through their parents.
Porn?:*sigh* Whatever.
Suicide?:Personal choice. I'll try and make sure it doesn't happen to people I love.

What is your stand on..... brought to you by BZOINK!

On another topic, I find biggots bewildering. (But then, as my friend Bill would say, Bewilderment is a constant thing in my life.... Oooh, I should read a little Bill, that would make things better) How can you agree with the statement "the school should discourage gays and lesbians from applying" and not as much with the statement "Open gay and lesbian faculty have no place in this community"? I mean, for a faculty member to take that stand is really promoting honesty.

And I just read an interesting study of the America Psychology Association about gay and lesbian parents, which pretty reached the conclusion that there was absolutely no evidence to say that gay and lesbian parents are less qualified than their heterosexual counterparts. Not that I find that very surprising, but it raised questions for me. For example a strong point that the studies made was that children of gay and lesbian parents were no more "confused" about their sexual preference. And it made me wonder, because I really believe a lot of people repress their feelings for the same-sex because it's still looked down upon so hardly in society, and it seems surprising to me that gay and lesbian parents don't make it easier for their kids to be honest with themselves.
But then, we probably don't want those kind of findings to hope to "convince" people it's all right to be gay and a parent, it doesn't mean you'll abuse the kid.

Oh well. Oh, and anyone can confirm that dendrophiliacs are people who like trees?? I'm sorry to say, but Chipko sounds better. Yay relphil.

Tonight I felt like I could have willingly gone into a club on my own and danced and flirted like crazy till I died. Very possibly drinking to be able to slip into oblivion a little better. I was walking to try and see an improv show that's apparently not going up tonight, and they had this open air dance. I didn't especially like the music but the beat made me want to drown myself in it. Just dancing, moving, suggestive look, touching, smiling, just a little, sliding, rubbing, skins touching, swaying, losing yourself, think Buffy and Faith, teasing, charming, kissing, tongues intertwining, dancing, swinging, touching, dancing, sliding, swaying, kissing, teasing, dancing, forgetting, dancing, dancing. Sometimes tells me maybe it's better I wasn't in France where I could actually have gone into a bar. I don't know if I'd have done it, but I really felt like it. I think a friend to dance with like crazy would have been all right, seems to be enough to get rid of the sexual tension and all for B. Hey, maybe it didn't help that J looked beautiful as always earlier, and that actors in one of the theaters classroom actually finally kissed each other on stage instead of pretending like 12-year-olds.

I don't know, but boy do I wish I'd have been dancing to oblivion.

Yes, it's because I felt like I couldn't just stop Scooter and switch back to Heavenly Creatures just like this. Gee, where's a club and a girl to dance with when you need one?
