Marriage amendment defeated + Global warming

Gay marriage ban defeated in Senate vote.
But of course, they're not letting go of the ban. So let's just hope that when Congress (and in particular the Senate) is renewed, it won't make things worse. It's now been over 2 years since Massachusetts has legalized same-sex marriage, and nothing has collapsed. For better or for worse, not much has changed in States around MA. I really don't understand the energy spent, that need, to make sure gay people don't get to live a traditional life if they wish to.
Well. At least it that constitutional amendment got rejected once more.

(Here is a Le Monde article about it. Interestingly, they say the supporters of the bill got the majority 49-48? MSNBC says the majority was for defeating the amendment.)

Totally different suject matter. I hadn't heard about that documentary, but I really want to see it now : An Inconvenient Truth.

Opposers of the bill got the majority of the votes. Supporters needed at least 60 votes for it to pass and four senators didn't vote because of various reasons.

I'm glad that opposers got the majority, but the amount of senators that did vote in favor still worries me a bit. One supporting senator was angry and said, "Are they saying that the Senate is composed of a bunch of bigots?"

Uh...yeah. That's exactly what we're saying.

Yeah, I thought that was the right version.

Hehe. I love when bigots can't even admit that that's what they are. Tsk!

Re: the movie.
