Being a hardcore liberal is GOOD

From Air America : a liberal online radio that's broadcasted in a few big cities in the US. Seems really good, try it out. I will.

Thei Top 6 Reasons to join them:

1. John Ashcroft will know where to find you.
2. All our annoying pop-up ads are invisible.
3. Because they shut down the Dennis Kucinich dating chat room.
4. Our spam is vegetarian.
5. You like making up passwords.
6. You were banned from the Fox News website for having your own opinion.

David Letterman’s Top Ten List: “Top Ten George W. Bush Complaints About "Fahrenheit 9/11":

10. That actor who played the President was totally unconvincing
9. It oversimplified the way I stole the election
8. Too many of them fancy college-boy words
7. If Michael Moore had waited a few months, he could have included the part where I get him deported
6. Didn't have one of them hilarious monkeys who smoke cigarettes and gives people the finger
5. Of all Michael Moore's accusations, only 97% are true
4. Not sure - - I passed out after a piece of popcorn lodged in my windpipe
3. Where the hell was Spider-man?
2. Couldn't hear most of the movie over Cheney's foul mouth
1. I thought this was supposed to be about dodgeball

(from Micheal Moore's newsletter, which is AWESOME - check out Michael Moore.com because it always rocks)

Best quote from Mike Moore about Farenheit 911 :
"Together we did something for the history books. My apologies to "Return of the Jedi." (F 911 beat its numbers during the opening week.) We'll make it up by producing "Return of the Texan to Crawford" in November."

You know, I say I'm a liberal, but I always feel as if the international students know more about my government than I do! Actually, they probably do, because for a long time, I avoided the news because it was too depressing. That and I can't stand my government or politics so, also for a long time, I didn't bother to learn about it. Now I feel as if I'm trying to catch up with everyone else...

Yeah, I know how you feel... it's very easy to miss out on a lot if you don't pay *real* attention, not to mention that the media in the US tend to be - well, they don't go out of their way to make sure they provide the best information to the people. You should try and listen to Air America Radio one of these days if you can, it's fun and the news are DA BEST. They just sound SO different from everything else you hear.
And signing up free for Michael Moore's newsletter promises you no spam and very funny or informative (or both! for no extra money!) newsletters from time to time ;)
